Las Vegas Souvenir and Resort Show

For flip flops, we cover many genres from fashion to resort to active. We do it all... or at least we are on the feet of people after their activities. This time around we are taking care of the resort and souvenir shops.

The Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Show is from September 23 to September 25. Of course, it means another trip to Las Vegas for us.

MAGIC show

The next trade show in line for us is the MAGIC show from August 31 to September 2. The MAGIC show is a show for fashion from designer, contemporary, casual, active, footwear and accessories. This is the show for cutting edge fashions and trends for the coming year. The show will be in the fabulous, fun filled city of Las Vegas.

Outdoor Retailer

Now is the time for the summer trade shows. The first one for us is the Outdoor Retailer on July 21 to July 24 in Salt Lake City. This show covers outdoor sports such as rock climbing, backpacking, kayaking and lots more. Although we are not technical wear, I know that as soon as everyone is done with their sports, the technical shoes comes off and the flip flops go on. That's where we come in.

We made the June 2009 issue of Redbook. Our pink Zebra is shown and quickly becoming one of our best sellers for this season. The zebra print and a splash of color is perfect for the summer days.

Flip Flop shop grand opening

This week is the grand opening of the Flip Flop shop in Canoga Park, CA and Santa Barbara, CA. Flip Flop shop have been carrying Flojos since 2006. The store we visited is in Topanga Mall and it is in a great location. The store is wall to wall flip flops and open just in time for summer. If you have a chance, go check them out.

Updated website!

Today we updated our website. We've had our original one for several years and it served us well but it was time for an upgrade. The site is now cleaner, faster and has more pictures. We will be adding more content soon along with more sandals shots.

MS Walk

The MS Walk happen last weekend and was a great success. It was a warm, sunny day in Southern California which drew out many participants. There were many groups out there including most of the Flojos staff. Many groups had t-shirts made for the occasion and it was good to see support for this great cause. There were friends, family, co-workers, kids and dogs on this walk. It was a good time to be out. With a course of 5 km or 10 km, it was doable for most everyone. We opted for the shorter 5 km since our little girl was with us.

Outdoor Retailer show

In January, we attended the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City. It is a fun show for the outdoor lifestyle enthusiast. Lots of products for most any outdoor pursuit and lots of dogs around.

Multiple Sclerosis Walk

The MS Walk is happening on Saturday, April 18! We are going to have Team Flojos out to support this great charity and hope to raise funds to help the ongoing research. We are going to the walk in Thousand Oaks, CA. If you are in the area, please join us or find a walk near you. Look for us in the "Team Flojos" shirts.

MS is an autoimmune condition in which the immune system attacks the central nervous system, leading to demyelination. Disease onset usually occurs in young adults, and it is more common in females. It has a prevalence that ranges between 2 and 150 per 100,000. It affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other. (reference: wikipedia)
